About Daniel Peters
Daniel Peters is the author of a highly acclaimed trilogy of historical novels tracing the demise of the three great cultures of Mesoamerica: the Aztecs, Maya and the Incas. With all three novels from his Mesoamerican trilogy translated into German and one into Italian, he has achieved an international following.
Daniel’s historical novels are based on meticulous research about the politics and culture of lost civilizations. He weaves the lives of his fictional characters in with those of known historical figures, aiming to inform as well as entertain. His newest novel, based on years of research, turns its attention to the story of the Judean captivity in Babylon during the reign of Nebuchadnezzar.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Daniel graduated from Yale University with a degree in English.
